MWP column carved tumbler is approximately 3.5 inches in diameter and 4 inches in height and holds about 16 ounces filled to the rim. Each mug is made individually by hand with slight variations making each mug one of a kind.
Shino glaze was first developed and used in Japan in the late 1500's . It's always been my favorite glaze and the shino I used on this collection of mugs is a carbon trap shino. The trapping of carbon during the firing process creates the spotted and darker areas on the mug surface. I hope you are as enchanted with the shino glaze as I am!
